Progressive Development Group, Inc.
Founded in 1992 by Paul Niedergang, Progressive Development Group focuses exclusively
on re-development of Real Estate in Portland's urban core. PDG is founded on the
premise that the built environment is essentially the "human ecosystem" and that by
building a better environment we can substantially improve the human condition and our
relationships. Company core principles include sustainability, environmental
responsibility and preserving and improving the vitality of the urban space.
Paul and Anne Niedergang contribute to the development of that new model by actively
participating in the design of the city's regulations and creating successful projects
that promote urban values. The success of their projects is determined by meeting not
only economic but also aesthetic and social goals in the pursuit of their endeavors.
Paul Niedergang first came to Portland in 1975 and has been involved in the field of
construction and development for the last 20 years. His experience has included six
years with a real estate development firm in the New York metro area from 1986 to 1991.
Upon returning the Portland in 1991 he opened Progressive Development Group to search
out investment and development opportunities in Portland's urban core.
Anne Wachsler Niedergang is a registered Architect with 15 years experience designing
and managing a variety of projects from inception through construction. The breadth of
her projects are broad based; ranging from Affordable Housing and high end custom
Residential to Campus Planning and Commercial design. Her portfolio includes work in
San Francisco, Aspen as well as Portland Oregon.
